He continued to create hits such as “Daughters” and “Why Georgia” but in 2005 his music began to take another turn. After a series of bad press and personal issues, John Mayer retreated from the music scene for several years.
In 2015, Mayer resurfaced to collaborate with Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead to form the touring band, Dead & Company. They have played limited shows over the years. 2019 marked Mayer’s first world tour in almost a decade, which made it one of the most anticipated tours of 2019.
